TUG Module #2 Recording + Testing

The second TUG training session was held April 24. However, it's not too late to participate and receive a Principles of Utility Management for Tribes (PUMT) certificate.

Note: The training session takes a minute to download and open. Be sure to Click on the security warning bar and the Download File command if they appear. Also when you get into the session you have to click on the Play icon at the bottom of the window.

In order to receive the PUMT certificate, you must complete all three modules. This is module 2 of 3.

New Resource: The 2013 version of the National American Indian Housing Development Handbook has been released and includes information on funding sources, homeownership strategies and a summary of relevant Indian law. Download a copy here.

Funding Opportunity: The Department of Health and Human Services has announced the availability of funding for community-based projects for the Social and Economic Development Strategies (SEDS) program. The purpose of the funding is to support Native American communities in their efforts to be self-determining, healthy, culturally and linguistically vibrant and economically self-sufficient. Recent Event: The Sixth Annual Energy Projects in Indian Country Conference was held last week in Las Vegas in conjunction with the Seventh Annual Native American Economic Development Conference . The events had separate registrations but a joint exhibit hall, which greatly enhanced networking opportunities 300 tribal leaders representing between 150 -200 unique tribes from around the country attended.
