YDI Innovation Newsletter - "Septober" 2013

Welcome to a September/October super edition of the YD Industries innovation newsletter! Why the two month special you ask? Well, the honest story is that marketing SVP Steve Musselman participated in an executive wilderness retreat last month without informing the newsletter team. This meant the C-98 Communication Approval Form was unsigned for September. Thusly, a September newsletter could not be released.

Well, we think we’ve more than made up for it today with a special Musselman wilderness report, a Flornan® re-release announcement, a exciting new hire at the Rockland Campus, a YDI T-shirt giveaway, and just a bit more. Read on…

Musselman in Nature

SVP of marketing, Steve Musselman, was invited to partake in the highly selective Sierra Executive Wilderness Workshop (SEWW), an honor reserved for top performing managers according to Calypso Scale Metrics. Their adventure began with a 20 mile blindfolded assault of Captain’s Sand Knob, an exercise designed to replicate the challenge of open source software development.

The two week training continued with food cache concealment from genetically modified attack bears, a rabid marmot slalom, team igloo building, and hard earned lessons in personal hygiene ROI. Altogether, Musselman reported to the experience to be “life-changing” for the techniques learned, friendships forged, and the potentially permanent loss of feeling in his left pointer toe.

YDI Pharma Re-Release: Pro-Depressant Flornan®

YDI’s new and improved formulation for Flornan®, the market leading pro-depressant, has been approved by the FDA and is now in stock at your local pharmacy or favorite alternative Tijuana medication pop-up. The treatment is indicated for individuals seeking to turn their smile upside down into a forlorn frown, and is ideal for aspiring artists, poets, writers, performers, or anyone seeking to add emotional depth to their life’s work.
Learn more and share your own depressing Flornan® stories here.

From the Mind of Musselman - Wilderness Edition

"Success in business is like success in golf which is like defecating in the woods - hole in ones are rare beasts."
Steve Musselman, 2013 SEWW Closing Campfire Circle

In Conclusion...

This brings us to the end of this "Septober" YD Industries Innovation newsletter special edition. Take a moment to inhale and exhale deeply, and then check your surroundings for any suspicious activity that may have begun as you read this reportage. Safety first!

Going forward, marketing SVP Steve Musselman has promised not to go off the grid again without first signing the requisite approval forms so your friendly neighborhood newsletter team can email everyone promptly. Luckily the extra month has given graphics wizard Missy Imhaus time to add to our in-house clip art library for future editions! We always look forward to hearing your thoughts or suggestions, so feel free to drop us a line anytime!

Cheers,
The YD Industries Team
