The 6th Annual Strawberry Festival was Sweet!

Saturday was a beautiful day for a festival! Upper Union Street came alive bright and early and it wasn't long before there were people poking about under my tent browsing through my greeting cards!

I always find it fascinating to see who visits my booth. The ages ranged from 4 years of age to 93 years of age! I just adore that... Generally my clientele are women, but this year I had several male customers! To think something that I design can bring such joy to others is a feeling that never gets old!

One grandmother stopped by and said that her grand-daughter (age 4) found out about the Strawberry Festival in the beginning of the week and asked all week long when could they go to pick out her magnet (they have come for the past couple of years and she remembered!). It was so adorable to watch her choose one magnet for her house and one magnet for her grandparents' house.

After all the festivities, I received this lovely note: "T, you have created a creative variety of cards that touches the heart & soul of so many of life's experiences. KUDOS!!!" ~Darla

"Our Stories" - my new line of TCards

"Our Stories"

Devout Thanksgiving

Elephants, and Monkeys, and Pink Ballerinas ... Oh My!

Setting up for a festival involves many hours of preparation. As I was sorting through my cards the night before (which took over 2 hours to do), I was amazed at how many new designs I have created for my new line "Our Stories." In the past three months, I have designed 85 new greetings! Amazing! Ideas for designs pour out of my heart so fast, it's hard to keep up with them.

With all the worry of how my new series would be received, by the end of the day sales were roughly 50% "Girlie-T" and 50% "Our Stories." With that in mind, I'm going to try to incorporate some of the old with the new and see where that leads.

Who doesn't love a pink ballerina, an adorable Elephant, and a cute little Monkey hanging out in the pinkish/orange fields of never-never land?

Bandana Pillows - in memory of Olivia VanAlstine

I am so proud of my niece, Julia. Olivia VanAlstine was one of Julia's dear classmates and friend. Sadly Olivia passed away this year and Julia wanted to honor her by making bandana pillows. All of the proceeds are going to be donated to the American Heart Association in Olivia's name.

Thank you for supporting Julia and thank you for honoring Olivia's name.

"Each pillow sold will donate $5 to the American Heart Association in Olivia VanAlstine's name. Olivia was a classmate, friend, and a very caring person. She passed away this year from heart disease. The only thing Olivia would want would be to help others with heart disease."
