Message from the FOLKS President

Happy New Year everyone! It is resolution time in our lives, and I hope it included continued support for FOLKS! Have you renewed your membership? Do you have a new idea you are dreaming about to share so others can build on it and make it great? Each one of us can make a difference.

A sad occasion when we lost one of our great members, Mary Janssen, who was a dreamer and worker. Now each of us needs to do a little more!

Remember we have no meeting until February, so if you have any ideas for improving FOLKS and how we support the library please email them to me at MTrentlage@aol.com. Keep warm, and we'll see you at the January 9th program.

Author Visit: Jess Riley

Thursday, January 9, 2014 - 6:30pm
Kimberly Public Library

Wisconsin native Jess Riley is the author of multiple works of fiction. Her first novel, Driving Sideways, was a finalist in the 2005 James Jones First Novel Fellowship. Jess's latest novel, Mandatory Release, follows Graham and Drew as their paths intertwine amide their work with convicted felons. It is a darkly comic look at friendship, forgiveness, and love. Jess will visit the library for a candid chat about books and writing. Enjoy an evening discussing her writing and books, or ask questions about how to improve and publish your own. She's up for anything!

This program is sponsored by FOLKS.
