Official Launch of TUG Program

TUG Brochure.pdf

The Tribal Utility Governance (TUG) program has officially launched with a ready-to-share informational brochure.

The program will provide training and technical assistance on utility management, financial and managerial capacity issues for personnel of tribally-owned and operated public water systems (PWS) in U.S. EPA Regions 6, 8, and 9.

TUG training is for tribal government officials, utility board members, water system managers, other decision makers, and staff operating and maintaining tribal public water systems. The first TUG trainings will occur concurrently on February 20, 2013 at the first meetings of several new Native American Water Masters' Association workgroups.

As a partner in this effort, we would appreciate your help in disseminating information about TUG training and formation of new regional NAWMA groups. Copies of the brochure are being printed and more details will be provided soon on potential virtual attendance at these events.

TUG partners include: Rural Community Assistance Partnership (RCAP), Rural Community Assistance Corporation (RCAC), Community Resource Group (CRG), Inter Tribal Council of Arizona, Inc. (ITCA) and
