Fair Fashion 2012

A brand new look and feel for Fair Fashion at Fair@Square 2013

Fair Fashion makes up one facet of Fair @ Square, and is a platform to showcase and promote a selection of Australia's new and emerging fashion designers who are taking a stand by employing ethical and sustainable design and production practices.

The Fair Fashion team is excited to be presenting a brand new Fair Fashion program for 2013, as we bring it front and centre to the Square from the 30th of November to the 1st of December in a series of eight pop up shows.

The shows will be spread out throughout the day, and the Fair Fashion runway space will double as a festival picnic area for visitors to enjoy. In bringing the fashion shows to the main square, we hope to bring ethical fashion to visitors that wouldn't necessarily consider attending a fashion show.

In addition, we are very excited to announce that Lara Shannon will be our official Fair Fashion Ambassador for 2013. Lara is the Founder of the eco-lifestyle website Ecochick.com, Host of Eco TV and also runs her own social change communications consultancy.

"Having worked as both an environmental campaigner and model for over 20 years, I believe that people need to be made more aware of just how big an impact the fashion industry has on the environment. I'm excited to be able to support Fair Fashion to help highlight the issues associated with the production of fashion items, and promoting those that are adopting a more sustainable approach in their production and design processes. “ – Lara Shannon.

With an array of brilliant designers, stylists and models on board, this year’s event is set to be huge! We look forward to seeing you all there!
