Ronald L. Carter cordially invites faculty and staff to the annual appreciation Awards luncheon at the Hilton Charlotte Center City on Wednesday, May 7 from noon to 2 p.m.
Over the spring 2014 semester JCSU’s Department of Public Leadership Studies offered a Leadership Certificate series entitled Engaging B.U.L. L.S. (Building Unique Life-Long Leaders for Success). This certificate introduced the students to the basic components of leadership theory and practice to enhance individual and organizational leadership potential. Students were required to complete a minim 3 of 5 leadership workshops and participate in 5-10 hours of community service or leadership development events over the course of the spring semester. The following students met the requirements and were presented a certificate of completion. Congratulations to Eric C. Connor, Luis B. Dominguez, Dana L. Harris, Seiko Havis, Radijah Hudson, Austin M. Jacques, Sedaria Judge, Dineo L Seakamela and Alexis Wallace.
Students traveled to Jackson Mississippi to attend the Gathering of Leaders sponsored by the Coalition of Schools Educating Boys of Color (COSEBOC) hosted by Jackson State University.
They attended this meeting as part of our effort to build capacity for a partnership with the Call Me MISTER program at Clemson University, which is aimed to increase the number of African American males interested in pursuing teaching as a profession.
