Hi there! TODAY, Bluehost* is having a hosting sale ($1 off per month!), so if you (or a friend) has thought about starting a blog or website, it's a good time! Also, I'm on a bit of a hiatus, spending time off the grid. Consequently, next week's Useletter might not materialize. :) But I should be right back at 'em the following week.

1. How to reach goals using the power of 1%

I love this. Sometimes huge goals can loom large. I like Jeff Olson's explanation of the power of one percent. Basically, improve by one percent per day, consistently, and before you know it, you'll have made huge progress. Perfect advice for those of us who tend to think it's gotta be all or nothin'.

2. Embed code generator

If you have an image (or text) you want others to be able to embed on their site (infographic, linky banner, blog button, use the embed code generator from SiegeMedia to easily create the embeddable code.

3. How to name your newsletter images

If you include images in your email newsletters, name your images with a call to action instead of a plain, descriptive term. For example, my Useletter header image could be named “useletter-header.jpg” or it could be named “go-to-the-useletter-archives.jpg” (which is where it’s linked). I like option #2 because some email clients don’t automatically load images but simply show the image title. If that's the case, the reader can still see the call to action in the header image name without it having to load.

4. How to grow your email list via your ebooks

I read this tip somewhere but now I can't remember where. If you have an ebook, offer a bonus to go along with it (printables, exclusive tips, etc.). But make sure the bonus is only available to those who sign up for your email list. Mention the bonus at both the beginning and the end of your ebook, preferably in the first 10% of your ebook so it's visible in the preview in the Kindle store.
