The Lupe Fiasco Foundation presents "Streets on Fire: Peace For Hire"

Inspired by Hadiya Pendleton, "Streets on Fire: Peace For Hire" was a community-based forum at the Jacob Carruthers Center For Inner-City Studies.

April

Association of Black Foundation Executives Conference.

The Lupe Fiasco Foundation participates in the Association of Black Foundation Executives conference.

Project Orange Tree Launches

The Lupe Fiasco Foundation sponsors the launch of Project Orange Tree, a structural violence campaign.

June

IMAN's Takin' It To The Streets

Convened by The Lupe Fiasco Foundation, The Chicago Peace Movement hosted at Peace Rally at IMAN's annual Takin' It To The Streets Festival.

Black Star Project's Mass Male Graduation

Lupe Fiasco serves as a keynote speaker for the Black Star Project's Mass Black Male Graduation and Transition to Manhood Ceremony at Chicago State University.

The Sensei Jaco Scholarship

The Lupe Fiasco Foundation awards 78 African American Male high school graduates $100 scholarships at the Black Star Project's Mass Black Male Graduation and Transition to Manhood Ceremony.

The Bud Biliken Parade 2013

Project Orange Tree participates in Chicago's annual Bud Biliken Parade.

Peace in the Parks at Austin Townhall

The Chicago Peace Movement hosted Peace in the Parks, a free evening of fun and activities for the community.

Food Dessert: A Food & Liquor Store Tour

In conjunction with Chicago Artist Month, The Lupe Fiasco Foundation launched Food Dessert: A Food and Liquor Store Tour. An event inspired by Lupe Fiasco’s Grammy nominated debut album Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor, that examined the nature of food deserts, food justice and what our community considers dessert through art installations, dance, spoken word and music.

Donor T-Shirt Launch

Enstrumental Brand designed a Limited Edition T-Shirt exclusively for the The Lupe Fiasco Foundation. T-Shirt's were sold during Lupe Fiasco's Tetsuo & Youth Preview Tour in Chicago and New York City. These T-Shirts will be available online starting January 6, 2014 at Enstru-mental.com

Partnership Appreciation Reception

The Lupe Fiasco Foundation hosted a reception at Northeastern Illinois University's Jacob Carruthers Center For Inner-City Studies honoring our community partners. Honorees included Natae Thompson of True Star Media and The Chicago Peace Movement, Aysha Butler of R.A.G.E, Stephanie Hart of Brown Sugar Bakery, Broderick Banks of 10/25 Tees, and the youth of Project Orange Tree
