Existing board members Maria Gentile & Tammy Whitehead welcome Emma Koch of Redden Bridge Wines to our board

It was with sadness that we farewelled two long standing board members - Liz Ballinger and Elizabeth Hodges. Liz a board member since our start in 1998 and immediate past Chairman together with Elizabeth long standing Chairman and member for 8 years. Both share a commitment and passion for their respective communities and have done much to support women. (Editor's note - I will miss them dearly but they will both continue to champion our cause)

Mastering Social Media - a huge success

Leon and Lynne Johnston of Shiralea Pet Resort

Monday 12 November saw 32 participants - beginners in the world of social media slowly understand the importance of a website and a blog not to mention facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Youtube & Pinterest - all necessary tools to grow your business.
The following day Steve Davis took 27 women over the abyss and into the world of Hootsuite, photo imaging and videoing - why not go into Youtube and view Anne Hinckly-Tyler of accare talk about foster care - this short video was recorded on an IPhone and uploaded to Youtube all in the course of 15 minutes. (Editor's note - It's got me hooked - are there at least 4 businesses who would like to spend an afternoon with me to brainstorm ideas for a short video about your business and then go and do it. I would love to hear from you)
Follow Steve's blog here - you won't be disappointed lots of useful hints to support your social media journey

Breaking News....no Breaking Plates

Broken plates, Toni Vorenas and Wendy Richardson of Redgum Country

Wednesday night at Metro Bakery and Cafe was an outstanding success thanks to the hospitality of Toni Vorenas and her professional staff. 36 women enjoyed an explosion of taste sensations while listening to Jonathan Bruhn of MGA Insurance Brokers and Toni. Women mingled and shared stories of their business. The night ended on a high with a Kris Kringle.
Everyone had such a great time that plates went flying - no hooliganism just a greek tradition celebrating good luck. (Editor's note - if you haven't tried Metro Bakery then you are missing out - visit next time you are in town)
