A Dora Award Nomination, Toronto, Canada

We are proud to announce that Theatre Ad Infinitum’s Co-Artistic Director Amy Nostbakken is nominated for a prestigious Dora Mavor Moore Award - 'Outstanding Performance by a Female for The Big Smoke', which premiered in Toronto in February 2012.

The Dora Mavor Moore Award is one of the most coveted and recognized theatre prizes in Canada. The 33rd Annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards will be held on Monday, June 25 - http://www.tapa.ca/doras/

The Argus Angel Award, Brighton UK

"For all the attempts at “total theatre” in the Fringe, this one by Theatre Ad Infinitum truly broke down the barrier between performers and audience: we were immersed, palpably spellbound, breathtaken." - Catherine Meek, The Brighton Argus

After last year's success with The Big Smoke, which picked up an Argus Angel Award for our one-woman a cappella production directed by Nir Paldi and performed by Amy Nostbakken, we were excited to return to the Brighton Fringe this year. Our latest production, Translunar Paradise, played at The Warren, Otherplace Production's Pop-Up venue for the festival, on the 15-16th May 2012.

The audiences were wonderful, and the venue staff and helpers all lovely -let's face it though, Brighton is possibly the place where 'lovely' originated -and we had a great time. So we were absolutely overjoyed to find out that we'd won an Argus Angel Award for the second year in a row. It's the productions eighth award to date and we're… well, quite overwhelmed. A big thank you goes out to all the Brightonians that made it to the show, The Warren Team for copious amounts of help, Brighton Fringe and of course to the lovely Brighton Argus. We feel honoured.

You can read about the award and see us collecting it here, and you can read the Brighton Argus review here.

Over the last few weeks we were performing in Norway at the Literature Festival Lillehammer, at the Israel Festival, Jerusalem, our much loved supporting venue, The Lowry in Salford, Manchester, and tonight we're off to Brazil for a three week tour in Londrina, Belo Horizonta and Sao Paolo. The tour continues until September 2012...
