It's official - I am going to Washington, DC!

I am so happy to announce that with your help we raised enough money to book the flights and hotel for Washington, DC! I am excited to be able to attend the meeting of the BLM's Wild Horse and Burro Advisory Board, September 9-11th in person!

My main focus is to present signatures collected on the "Helicopters are Monsters" petition to Joan Guilfoyle, Director of the Wild Horse and Burro Program. I have contacted the Secretary of the Interior, Sally Jewell, to ask if she would meet with me too. I want to put an end to cruel helicopter roundups once and for all!

Also, we have the anti-slaughter "No Horse Meat" petition. It asks for lobbyists (namely major fast-food retailers) to join the cause against horse slaughter because many have already petitioned the lawmakers on this issue and they haven't listened.

I hope to meet with as many officials as I can to help spread the word that we care about our horses and burros and want to keep them safe. If you haven't already, please sign both petitions and feel free to send me comments, suggestions, and feedback about who else I should meet with when I am in DC.
