Restoration Rocks: Bed Stuy Alive! Live Healthy, Live Well, Live Green
Saturday, October 6th
Kicking off the week, Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation 6th Annual Restoration Rocks music festival. This free concert is open to the public and live performances will include MC Lyte, Brand Nubian, Jessica Care Moore with special guests from Black WOMEN Rock!, Maimouna Youssef and Martin Luther among others. A street fair will take place from 10am through 5pm and include Bed Stuy Green Demonstrations, Healthy Bed Stuy Health Screenings and Information, Artists’ Row, Bed Stuy Food Court, Lively Kids’ Corner and the BedStuy Marketplace with hand-crafted wares from local artisans. The Theme Bedstuy Alive: Live Healthy, Live Well, Live Green is a creative way to infuse art, culture, music and sustainability issues into one program, while highlighting the collaborative efforts Restoration Corporation and Bedstuy Alive are taking to green the community.
