A study in Ireland shows that our bodies produce a brain nourishing agent during exercise that helps with memory and overall improved brain function. There is also evidence that aerobic exercise helps combat age related memory loss. For best cardiovascular and mental health benefits, do aerobic exercise 5-6 times a week . High Intensity Intervals (HII) are the quickest way to get fit. Very few exercises are truly aerobic. Running, Walking, Elliptical, Stair Master and Cross country skiing are truly aerobic. HOW TO DRINK WATER AND OTHER BEVERAGES

There are bacteria that can live without air but no life can exist without water. It is essential to our health. Many of us drink bottled water to ensure purity and clean taste but otherwise do not pay much attention to water. Ayurveda teaches that the temperature and the time of drinking water are important for our health. Here are my tips on how to use water and other beverages to improve our health:

1. Drink a glass of warm water with a tea spoon of honey and a twist of lemon first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Warm water in the morning is especially good for elimination and helps you wake up gently.
2. Switch to drinking room temperature or warm water for a couple of days and notice the difference it makes in how you feel. Ice cold water is not good for teeth or digestive health. Read more....
