With over 95% of the world’s consumers located outside of the United States, the NMMA wants to ensure that US manufacturers across the country are turning export opportunities into real transactions. Julie Balzano, Export Development Director, for the NMMA will discuss her association’s new Export Development Program and ways in which you can engage in exporting to ensure that your company benefits from the global opportunities awaiting you.

You will also hear from John A. Vanderwolf, the industry economist in the Office of Health and Consumer Goods for the Commerce Department's International Trade Administration. Mr. Vanderwolf is the industry analyst for the recreational transportation sector which includes boats and is responsible for industry analysis and trade policy matters affecting our industry. In addition, Mr. Vanderwolf analyzes foreign market potential for the Department's trade promotion programs covering his area of industry expertise.

Lastly, Karen Taylor, International Trade Specialist of the U.S. Department of Commerce in Seattle, will describe how a global network of trade professionals located throughout the United States and in U.S. Consulates and Embassies in nearly 80 countries can help you achieve a first export or expand to additional markets.
