Greetings!

They say March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb, right? Well on Tuesday it was 45 and then starting Wednesday morning it snowed EIGHTEEN inches.....I guess we have a bit more lion to go! It wasn't until the last 2-3 weeks that I really started to get an itch for springtime - I'm looking forward to being able to spend more time outside and taking many long walks with Norah. Right now it's quite a production to get the two of us sufficiently bundled and get out of the house with the doggies!

As I was designing our family album from 2013 I noticed that last year by early April all the snow was gone and things were starting to pop out of the soil (always such a fun progression to watch) - there's hope!

Norah will be four months on Tuesday and is at SUCH a fun age with new skills blossoming every day. Her new "tricks" (as my in-laws call them) are almost turning over, holding toys and usually trying to eat/suck on them, standing on our lap, and flying (with some assistance from us!!). She smiles constantly and sometimes we have little chats back and forth :) In the last few weeks a bedtime of 7 has developed and it feels great to have some time to ourselves in the evening - I've heard about a four month sleep regression and I'm hoping she doesn't get it!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Amanda

RECOMMENDATIONS

download
I love using Notabli (an app for parents designed by my friend Jackson) to post photos, videos, text, and audio of Norah for all her fans to keep up with - it's a nice alternative to posting a zillion things to Facebook and overwhelming everyone. It's also private so parents have to invite people individually which keeps it a bit more intimate. Right now I-Phone users can download the app and others can follow kids on their website. I highly recommend checking it out!
Our friends Michael & Vera are selling beautiful wool throws made with the wool from their sheep - check it out!
A Dog's Journey was a sweet easy read
Operating Instructions kept me laughing in the early days of sleep deprivation and adjustment to having a baby
DELICIOUS white bean, sausage, and kale soup recipe (even for us who usually aren't bean people and for Jeff who isn't the hugest kale fan)
I read Winter Garden the first week Norah was home when she was still snoozing for what seemed like 23 hours a day - I really enjoyed it
I LOVED Five Quarters of an Orange
