The summer flies by when you’re making friends all across the country while inspiring students and artists alike to help make their musical dreams come true. We’d like to introduce you to The Royal, winners of The John Lennon Songwriting Contest Vans Warped Tour prize presented by Neutrik USA, who had the chance to tour for one week and perform on the Insidious Kevin Says stage, record on-board the Lennon Bus, and connect with their fans through live music. Also, we had the pleasure of hosting the annual AP Cover Stars with our @lennonbus live stream chat sessions hosted by Warped Tour founder, Kevin Lyman.

As we prepare for our Fall tour, we can’t wait to share John Lennon’s legacy of peace and look forward to working with such passionate and talented young people. We’re excited to see the next generation of musicians, engineers and thinkers who will get the opportunity to experience the Lennon Bus and strive to imagine peace.

Lennon Bus Europe had a great start to its first tour inspiring students, musicians and peace-lovers though music education across Europe. This June at Yoko Ono’s Meltdown Fest in London, we introduced ourselves with public tours and held several recording sessions for extremely talented London students. We were also lucky enough to host guitarist, Earl Slick and Yoko Ono for an unforgettable mentor session.

This August, Lennon Bus Europe will journey through Cork, Ireland recording non-stop with students all along the way. We have the pleasure of hosting workshops for the Apple Distinguished Educators Event where the brightest and most innovative teachers from all around the world gather to share their knowledge and experiences and plan for a better future for education of all kinds. It was an incredible privilege to go with Yoko Ono to the Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool, UK and film our experience there. We spoke to the hardworking and caring staff there and helped the children to imagine a brighter future through music. Seeing all of the children get creative and have fun was truly inspiring. The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus is a non-profit 501(c)(3) mobile audio and HD video recording and production facility. Since 1998, the Bus has provided free hands-on programs to hundreds of high schools, colleges, Boys and Girls Clubs, music festivals, concerts, conventions and community organizations.
