Thanks for Your Support
September 30 will mark a significant change at SmallWaterSupply.org. Since even before the site was launched in the summer of 2009, we have been supported by a grant from the USEPA through the Technical Assistance Center program. The Midwest Technology Assistance Center, housed at the University of Illinois, provided the funding to start and maintain SmallWaterSupply.org to this point. That funding comes to an end September 30.
We wanted to take this opportunity to thank the USEPA for seeing the vision we had for SmallWaterSupply.org, and for the support they have given MTAC, as well as the other seven Technical Assistance Centers, over the last dozen years or so. We believe there is no equal to what SmallWaterSupply.org offers water and wastewater operators online and how useful the site is to operators, technical assistance providers, and regulators alike. By not playing favorites and putting the needs of the operator first, we have developed a truly unique online tool that benefits everyone in our industry.
We are so proud of all we have accomplished and grateful to be able to work on such a rewarding project. This isn’t goodbye, we aren’t going away, but our funding is currently less than a third of what we have had for the past 3+ years, so there will be some changes. For today though, we just want to say thanks to everyone who has supported our efforts and to all of those that have used the website and/or contacted us for help.
