Blitz 2013 - Go Big!

2013 Blitz Banner

What does that mean? Whatever you want it to. We are sure you have some Big ideas for caches evil or nice for the Blitz. We are sure you can think of a hike or a special place that will leave a Big impression on those who find it. Big joke, Big description, Big history lesson, Big cache? It is up to you! Make sure you let us know on your cache page what is Big about your cache.

Ironically, the only Big rule change for this year is that micros and nanos are permitted. Some people have been very creative with hides like these. The voting cachers will let you know if they like it or not.

Other suggestions:
1. The Blitz is a way to showcase outstanding caches. These are the caches we want new cachers to find to show them what geocaching is about. You may want to consider not restricting your caches to premium members only.
2. Though we are no longer restricting sizes we ask you to consider placing caches that are as Big as possible. Remember the joy you feel when you come across a well stocked ammo can.

Annual CITO Weekend April 20 - 22

CITO is Geocaching's way to give back to the communities where we play. This year Groundspeak is awarding a special CITO souvenir to geocachers who attend an offical CITO event held between April 20 and April 22.

There are a number of events being held around the province. If there isn't one near you why not find a spot that could use some sprucing up, get permission from the land manager where appropriate and set up an event yourself? Look on the BCGA's calendar for a full list of CITO and other events happening throughout the province.
