Joe Stapleton to host webcast for one of the biggest poker tournaments of all time

MACAU, CHINA – May 31, 2013 – PokerStars is set to host an online broadcast of the massive HKD $1,000,000 (USD $129k) ‘GuangDong Ltd Asia Millions’ (GDAM) Main Event from June 5-7, 2013. This continues the incredibly popular webcast coverage that was provided during the recent ninth season of the European Poker Tour, and will be available online at www.PokerStars.tv.

Guangdong Group (Macau) has already confirmed more than 70 players have registered for the tournament that takes place at the ‘PokerStars LIVE at the City of Dreams’ poker room in Macau, China.

The GDAM is expected to be the biggest poker tournament ever held outside of the World Series of Poker in terms of prize pool, and the largest ever high-roller event by number of players. The potential for an unprecedented 100-plus High Rollers field has attracted some of the biggest names in poker, including Full Tilt Poker’s Gus Hansen and Team PokerStars’ Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier, Isaac Haxton, Celina Lin and Jonathan Duhamel.

The webcast will be hosted by EPT regular Joe Stapleton.

“The GDAM event is loaded with big interest, huge names and massive prize money! We are excited about taking the webcast on the road to Macau to broadcast this special event,” said Joe Stapleton.
