MY NEXT NOVEL
A MAN TO TRUST releases Feb 21, 2012. If you receive Love Inspired novels each month it should arrive in January. This story is dear to my heart, and I hope you enjoy it.

After years spent helping run her family's Christian bookstore, it's time for Adrie Chandler to give her own dream of becoming a classical musician a chance. But can she really trust the beloved shop to new manger Ross Peterson? The man is too charming....and too much a reminder of another dream Adrie had to let go of—marriage. Yet Ross surprises her by knowing a thing or two about making sacrifices. Suddenly, Adrie's questioning what she really wants. And whether the dreams she once thought unlikely are within her reach after all.

A MAN TO TRUST is my second novel set in Fairhaven, Washington, and features some of the same characters you met in SEEKING HIS LOVE. If you haven't read that one yet you can order a copy here. You can pre-order A MAN TO TRUST here.

WEDDING BELLS FOR BEN AND GALAN!
These past few weeks have been a very exciting time for our family as we prepared for the wedding of our son Ben and his bride Galan Miller. All of our five kids, their spouses and the grandkids gathered in Jacksonville, North Carolina for the wedding on December 3rd. My daughter Melissa and her husband Peter flew in early from Kenya to help with wedding preparations and assist me with arranging flowers and decorating for the ceremony and reception.

My husband Scott did an awesome job officiating the ceremony. Galan was a beautiful bride and Ben made a very dashing groom. After a fun reception and some more special family time, Ben and Galan flew to Puerto Rico for their honeymoon, then they returned to Huntsville, Alabama, where Ben is stationed with the Marines. We are so happy to see the way Ben and Galan are seeking to honor the Lord as they start their new life together. For more wedding photos, visit my Facebook photo page.

SEVEN LAYER SALAD
Our family loves this recipe, and we usually serve it every Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's great because you can make it 1 or 2 days ahead. We do a different design on top each time we serve this salad. This design was created to honor Ben and Galan's engagement last Christmas.

Layer in a clear glass bowl:
1/2 head Romaine lettuce or spinach, sliced
1 small wedge of red cabbage, sliced
1/4 head green or red leaf lettuce, sliced
1 small red onion, sliced
1 can sliced water chestnuts
4 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
1 pkg. frozen petite green peas, rinsed and defrosted

Make dressing with one cup light mayo, 1/2 cup non-fat Greek yogurt, a dash of lemon juice, a dash of curry powder and a small packet of Truvia. Spread this carefully over the salad to seal. Decorate with red, yellow and green peppers. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until time to serve. Enjoy!
