I am seeking three more gardens for my ambitious five part 'Great Lakes Garden Project'.
Is your garden photo worthy? If so, please send one image and a brief reason (150-200 words) why your garden is soooo Fan-tab-ulous!
What does your garden have that others don't? Native fauna? Heritage fruit-trees? Fox dens? Lake-feeding stream? Cacti? BEES? Tell me. Show me.
If your garden is chosen, Margaret Lindsay Holton, an award-winning Canadian artist & author, will spend twelve hours (or 3 hours per season) photographing your little piece of paradise.
Send email entries before January 1st, 2014 to MLH Productions - 'mlhpro @hotmail. com' - with the subject header: My Great Garden!
After one full year of production, the three winning garden entries will receive a 40+ page hard-cover deluxe Collector's First Edition - professionally published under my Acorn Press Canada imprint - signed & dated by yours truly. Selected entrants will also receive a masterfully edited DVD slideshow of their great garden, shown throughout the seasons. Plus, each selected entrant will receive a copy of all the exquisite garden books from the five-part art-book series of 'The Great Lakes Garden Project.'
PLEASE NOTE, if your great garden is chosen for this artist project, you will be required to contribute $5000 CDN ($2500 paid at the beginning and $2500 on receipt of your DVD & garden book) to cover the photo-artist's costs: including 12 hours of photography (3 hours per season), editing of images, creation of a custom DVD of your garden, as well as the design & production of your garden book in the Collector's First Edition. Only 25 books of each chosen garden will be signed, dated and produced by Margaret Lindsay Holton. (Please, do not enter your Great Garden into 'The Great Lakes Garden Project' if you not willing to contribute to this ambitious garden-as-art series.)
