Officially announcing the opening of Breathtaking Photographic Studios!

About 5 months ago I rented a beautiful, naturally lit space on the garden level of the Milton Schoolhouse. It's been my dream for a very long time to have a space in which to work my magic.... and store my stuff away from the tiny, sticky hands of my three youngest children. When I met the owners of the schoolhouse and heard about their desires for the space, I knew it was exactly where Breathtaking was going to spread her wings.

I haven't been able, through illness and other circumstances, to spend as much time there as I would have liked over the past half year but this winter I can finally focus my creative energies on bringing my studio space to life. The following are a list of shoots, classes, and an OFFICIAL open house you won't want to miss!

While the space has a deep history and quite the reputation, I promise that I've seen no ghosts, headless or otherwise, roaming about. You're completely safe in the building.

Mom With A Camera Classes

will be held on Sunday, November 25th and Monday, November 26th from 9am-1pm and Friday November 30th from 5-9pm. All classes are located in studio at Milton Schoolhouse.

Take your photography to the next level! I'll teach you how to capture beautifully lit, sharp snap shots of your children in every situation from their next birthday party to a day at the beach.

Have you ever wondered how the pros get that beautiful, blurred background or puzzled over why sometimes your shots in automatic are fantastic and sometimes overly dark/completely blown out? I'll give you the scoop on everything from the photographic triangle to getting a handle on that intimidating "M" (manual!) function on your selection dial.

These in-depth, introductory classes will help the burgeoning photographer learn more about how to use light and composition to create a pleasing image. We will also touch on simple editing and how to back up your images so you'll never lose them to a computer crash PLUS I'll give you the real deal on how to print your images for ideal framing! These are hands on classes that involve both classroom instruction as well as shooting throughout the schoolhouse. Wear comfy clothing as we will be moving around quite a bit!

Students should have a digital SLR and bring with them their manual, lenses, and any accessories they may have (speed light, etc). No prior photography knowledge is required. A light meal and beverages will be provided. Please indicate if you have any allergies or special food requirements when you book your slot. Class space is limited to the first four students! Your class fee must be paid in full via credit/debit card in order for your spot to be held.

Angel Baby Mini Sessions

Just in time for the holidays! Bring your baby, under three years old, for a short-but-sweet holiday mini session. Breathtaking will provide the simple, elegant set and a beautiful pair of ostrich feather wings plus head dress to be worn by your little angel. Sessions will last about 30 minutes and you'll receive an online viewing gallery and 3 digi images of your choice plus 10% off the purchase of prints, canvas wraps, and holiday cards. Turn around will be quick and I can have these in your hands just in time to gift for the holiday! Spots will be limited to the first 10 clients to reserve their spot with a full deposit via debit/credit card.

Shoot will be held on Saturday December 8th will slots starting at 8am and running until 1pm.

Breathtaking's Official OPEN HOUSE and HOLIDAY PARTY!

Don't miss the fun! Stop by the studio and take a look around the space, ask questions, and meet new people. We'll be visiting with friends, giving away prizes, and one lucky guest will win a FREE SESSION FEE from Breathtaking good for 2013! Stop by any time between 4 and 9pm on Saturday, December 15th. Holiday yummies and hot chocolate will be in-house to enjoy. Kick off your shoes and stay a little later to enjoy champagne and music at the after-party party. No reservations required.

Breathless Boudoir Blow OUT!

Join us for the second annual Breathless Boudoir Party! We have so.much.fun at this event! Marissa Hart will be on hand again to work her magic with your hairstyle and makeup while Chantel brings the magic to life on camera. We do this party up right, ladies. Mimosas, chocolate, music, and laughs galore plus gorgeous images that always leave my clients breathlessly wondering "....is that really ME!?"

Worried about your tummy/boobs/thighs/butt/stretch marks? Let me put your worries to rest right now. I'll happily hook you up with past clients who can assure you that I work magic with body parts. It's all about positioning and lighting ladies (and a little tiny touch of the retouching wand... all hail the retouching wand!!!) and I'm an expert. You'll walk away feeling pampered and beautiful!

Your day of luxury begins long before the shoot date! Chantel is available by email and phone for planning everything from concept to outfits- you'll be prepared when you walk into the door of the studio! Upon arrival you'll begin with a hair and makeup consultation with my hilarious friend, Marissa. She'll have you comfy in no time with vivacious conversation and a little glass of bubbly in your hand. Once you've been primped and primed, you'll hit the shoot space with Chantel while the next lovely lady gets did up. We'll have time for three unique outfit changes and you'll be expertly posed and positioned. How much you reveal is completely up to you!

Your session fee covers everything listed plus a stunning 10 paged black leather album delivered in time to be gifted to your sweetheart on V Day!

Your all inclusive price is only $425! Your spot will be booked with a 50% deposit. 25% is due the night of your ordering session and the remainder is due when your product is delivered.
