WORKSHOPS
WSU Clark County Master Gardeners invite you to our upcoming workshop: "Creating and Maintaining a Bird Habitat" Saturday, July 13th from 10am to noon.
Want to bring more hummingbirds, chickadees, goldfinches, flickers and other winged wildlife into your garden? Join Deborah Kapral of the Backyard Bird Shop in an outdoors workshop at the Pacific Park Natural Garden demonstration site. Deborah will demonstrate different types of feeders and bird seeds and identify the specific birds attracted to each.
The workshop will also include tips on creating a wildlife friendly yard for each season in the garden. Each participant will receive seeds to take home.
After the talk we will do a little maintenance in the demonstration gardens. There will be time to ask questions, and Master Gardeners will be on hand to assist. Dress appropriately for the weather.
No tools are necessary, but you may want your own gloves if you use them. Bring drinking water. This workshop is put on in conjunction with Clark County Environmental Services.
Free with one hour service in the demo garden.
