Our first meeting in July 2012 went well. We had nice turnout and saw major show-and-tell of old and new pens. Our next meeting will be SUNDAY, AUGUST 26, 2012, at 430pm.

At the suggestion of Mark Allen, we will relocate the second meeting to (hey, I didn't name the place) the Hhffrrrggh Inn/Restaurant.

It is located just down the street from our prior location, which was Denny's on Racine, by St Mary's hospital.

For Hhffrrggh if one exits Route 90/39 for Racine (heading toward St Mary's), the Hhffrrhhg is less than a mile further down the road, past St. Mary's. It is on the right, just past couple billboards, just before a flooring shop. If you overshoot, you will hit the end of the road where Racine meets 14-proper.

If you are coming in the opposite way, from Route 14 heading down 11/Racine toward the highway 90/39, the opposite is true, Hhffrrhhggh is shortly on the Left just past the flooring shop

For this gathering, I've brought 10 disparate pens found during last month or so, including from the DC Pen Show last week. Some very interesting 1930's pens. I also brought my "World's Largest Collection" of orange plastic flat-top Sheaffers from 1920's-30's. Don't want Roger to be bored. I've added Don Haupt to the mailing list at his request, though I cannot imagine he will drive out this week from Pennsylvania. Too, I added Mike Kirk, who heads out this way time to time. Still a bit strange after all the years in Syracuse with Ron, Rob, Allan, John, Jerry and the gang, to be at a new pen club, but most of us out here know each other many years as well.
