What is a log raising?

Come watch how a log home is properly constructed! Learn about the engineering and attention to detail that has gone into the Gastineau Log Home building system over the past 35 years. Visit with the builder and the GLH staff who will be on hand to answer your questions. Bring your plans for a review or free estimate. Coffee and donuts in the morning and hot dogs at lunch time. Bring your lawn chairs and stay for 30 minutes or stay all day! Learn why you should choose Gastineau for your new log home!

From Des Moines:

From the southeast corner of Des Moines, Take Route 5 like you are going to Knoxville, iA

Turn right on County Road -S23

Building site is 5015

From Kansas City:

Take I-35 North into Iowa

Stay on I 35 and go East around Des Moines

From the southwest corner of Des Moines, Take Route 5 like you are going to Knoxville, iA

Turn right on County Road -S23

Building site is 5015

From central Missouri:

Take Hwy 70 to Exit 78B – Hwy 65

Go North on Hwy 65, cross into Iowa

Stay on Hwy 65, it will turn into 65/69

Turn Right onto E. 2nd Ave (IA-92)

Follow IA-92 approximately 6 ½ miles

Turn Left onto CR-S23
