Did you know?

The first volkssport event in the United States was held in Fredericksburg, Texas in June 1976, and the Volkssportverein Friedrichburg was the first organized U.S. club — therefore the number AVA-001.

New Year Tradition

Per its annual tradition, the Fredericksburg club welcomed 2013 with a Volkssport Walk at noon on New Year's Eve and again at midnight as the church bells around the city rang in the New Year.

We hope you stepped up to the New Year following your traditions too. Health and happiness to you and yours in 2013.
