Willy Wonka at the Lyric!

WillyWonkalogo

Come visit the world's biggest and best candy empire known to man: Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka, live on the stage of the historic Lyric Theater, Saturdays, July 31 and August 7, 2010 at 7:30pm, and Sundays, August 1 and 8, 2010 at 2pm. The production is presented by The Walton Family Foundation Courtesy of Arvest Bank; produced by The Theatre Company. Read the press release.

The world's greatest candy maker, Willy Wonka (Darrell Whorton) is about to retire, and is looking for an heir. He has hidden five Golden Tickets among hundreds of thousands of Wonka Bars. Five children - Charlie Bucket (Mark Baker), Mike Teavie (Zachary Powers), Veruca Salt (Olivia Cash), Violet Beuregard (Callie Johnson), and Augustus Gloop (Mason Skiles) - are lucky enough to discover an entry ticket into Wonka's mysterious chocolate factory. They go on an extraordinary adventure where they see things beyond imagination, and learn life lessons along the way.

Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors with proof of ID, and $5 for children under 12. Tickets are available at the Box Office one hour prior to each performance, by calling 870.391.3504, or visiting the OAC office at 115 West Rush next to the Lyric Theater on the Harrison Square.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Would you like to see the production for free? Volunteers are needed each showtime for concessions, ticket-taking, handing out programs, and clean up. Please email info@ozarkartscouncil.org and let us know your availability.
