A Parent Gift

In one of the most poignant and emotional moments of the year so far, Michael Alexander '15 presented Tad with a flag from his father serving in Afghanistan. The flag was flown in honor of St. Andrew's over the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force at the Afghanistan Fallen Comrade Memorial, Camp Vance Compound, Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. It will be forever displayed in Founders Hall as a reminder of the service and sacrifice of Michael's father and all our military personnel.

Students Welcome Jodie Markell

Professional actor and director Jodie Markell spent a day on campus this week offering master classes to film and drama students. Jodie is the aunt of William Wetter ’14 (sister of William’s mom, Allison) and was incredibly gracious and generous with the students. "I really enjoyed working with Mrs. Markell," said Bella Miller '14. "She jumped right in without any hesitation and gave really clear advice and asked really interesting questions about my character that I had never considered before. She offered a new challenge, but I think having a fresh voice in my head was really helpful and I hope she will come back and help us work on future projects!"

The air was mild, but the water was cold on Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. for the second Polar Bear jump of the year. The III Form continued their strong participation and Batman made an appearance to ensure everyone's safety.

Congratulations Boys Soccer!

Boys Varsity Soccer finished the regular season at 10-4-1 and played absolutely beautiful and tireless soccer en route to suffering only one loss in their last eleven games. The boys earned the #5 seed in the state tournament and will play Brandywine at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Go Saints!

Students Attend United Way of Delaware's GSA Summit

We are so proud of our Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) leaders who represented St. Andrew's this weekend as models for other schools in Delaware. Five VI Form girls traveled to Wilmington to discuss and learn about ways to be advocates for LGBTQ high school students. Here they are below with U.S. Senator Chris Coons.

Movember 2013

On behalf of our many participants, we apologize in advance for any awkwardness that arises from our effort to grow moustaches this month as part of Movember. Today is our first day and many of us are throwing vanity to the wind to raise money and awareness for men's cancer. Please visit the St. Andrew's team page to learn more or join us!

The SAS Disc Club

Daniel DeVeau ’14 and John McArthur ’16 offered one of the most compelling club advertisements to date with their video for the St. Andrew’s Disc Club. The boys hit a variety of trick shots around campus in an attempt to lure new members.
