In March, a missions team from Iowa (with help from Minnesota and California), installed 2 quality playgrounds at the school - one for the smaller kids and one for the bigger. It's not only a great blessing, but another experience seeing God at work.

Last year, these folks led by Dan and Penny Miller, shared their desire to do this, even with the high price and potential obstacles - like shipping it to Nicaragua, clearing customs, etc. We don't have our Nicaraguan non profit status yet, and as the date neared for the arrival of the container, we were told that another ministry in Managua would get it cleared for us. I have to admit that I had my doubts until I received a call from the folks in Managua telling me that they had the equipment in their own warehouse (having cleared customs) and to come and pick it up. The group arrived a few weeks later and installed it - what a blessing and what fun for the kids. Thanks to all. Check out the first day video of the big slide (unfortunately this video comes out sideways on some players): Sliding

By God's grace, each school year seems a little better and with more quality. This year we have five new teachers - first grade, fourth grade, fifth grade, PE, and one who teaches 4th and 5th grade English. Barb and I still teach Bible to all grades, and English to preschool, first, second, and third grades. Looking forward to someday having more Americans to teach, especially English!

Our kids Bible club "GraceKids" continues to be a blessing to the kids from the barrio. In April we did an Easter program, which included the story of Holy Week, a simple plan of salvation (to which many responded), and of course, an egg hunt.

We appreciate so much all those who monthly support the school, the teachers, and us personally. For those of you who might be interested in special projects, we are still needing around $70K to finish the library/classroom building and the mission home. We'd like to be able to finish the home in the next months and the classrooms before the end of the year.

If you have any old iPads or tablets that you no longer use, we'd be glad to put them to use here.
