YD Industries in Forbes

Speaking of Innovation evenings, our last San Francisco event was written up on the Forbes website. While the author may have missed out on the the fact that YD Industries IS in fact a real company, we certainly agree with the assessment that, "Innovation thrives by harnessing the free-wheeling ways of tinkerers who aren’t sure where they are going."

From the Mind of Musselman

"Imagination plus innovation equals realization. Realization plus conceptualization equals actualization. Actualization plus concentration equals imagination."
Steve Musselman, Q2 '13 Toledo MARCOM Design Sprint

Fire in the Hole!

34th YDI Chili Cook-Off

Earl Thompson and Larry Mulgrew stretched their winning streak to a third consecutive year at the annual YDI employee 4th of July Chili Cook-Off. Using a secret combination of chunky variety meats and a solar flare level spice blend, the duo from Legal Entertainment wowed the judges with their table decorations and a daring application of a corn chip base layer. Congrats guys!

In Conclusion...

As July winds to a close, so does this report. It's been an amazing month full of innovative workshopping, 4th of July-ing, and one newsletter writer eating way too much potato salad. Again, thanks go out to in-house MARCOM graphics wizard Missy Imhaus for her amazing sense of color and composition. Props also go to summer college intern Lisa Stokowski who deftly stalked Steve Musselman to get the innovation workshop description edit approvals as he jogged between meetings.

Huge thanks, of course, to YOU, our treasured YD Industries e-mail readers. We love hearing from you so, please drop us a line anytime and let us know what YD Industries factoids you might like to hear about in the future.

Hope to see you in person at the next Innovation Workshop!

Cheers,
The YD Industries Team
