Howard Hewett Joins Jason Carr on Fox 2 News "The Nine" Talking About His Support of Spaulding for Children
Howard is honored to support Spaulding for Children and their mission, he says "the children are the strength of the future of a country."
The non-profit child welfare agency, is kicking-off National Foster Care Month by hosting a Celebrity Showcase on April 25, 2014 at Bert’s Entertainment Complex located in the Historic Eastern Market. The Spaulding for Children Celebrity Showcase is a star-studded live performance on the main stage.
Howard Hewett will headline the charitable event joined by Silk, a multi-platinum R&B group, formed in 1989 in Atlanta, Georgia. Their music accepted and loved in virtually every country, having written and produced most of their own songs. Opening for night is Chris Hayzel, a Los Angeles based musician who's loop infused and funk/soul injected live show wows listeners all over the globe. A homegrown band, Late Nights, Early Mornings will perform in the VIP Lounge.

Grammy Award Winner, Hewett has been one of the most influential and consistent voices of the past three decades. Spaulding for Children is a multi-faceted child welfare organization that provides prevention and permanency services. With a goal of ensuring every child that needs one has a permanent family, the Agency services children, families, and professional through its Academy for Family Support and Preservation, the Institute for Family and Community Development, and Child and Family Services that has prevention, foster care and adoption programs.
The incomparable Mr. Howard Hewett is the first Artist on The Veterans' scope.
This debut single, representing the collaboration between Howard and The Veterans, is a ballad destined to become a classic, and offers the promise of introducing Howard to a new generation of listeners. The song, entitled, “You Still Live Inside of Me,” is a departure from Howard’s past work. However, Mr. Hewett’s soulful vocal style shines through. The song, penned by Gary Brown, Ira Schickman, and Brian Poppin, was produced by Flip Matrix, Alton Jackson, and Lamont Brown.
