A moving tragedy about interracial love, jealousy and revenge, Othello continues to stir the imagination.

Othello, a black general in Venice, has promoted Cassio as his lieutenant. The two-faced Iago, who was hoping for the promotion himself, makes plots against both Cassio and Othello to exact revenge. Iago determines to use Desdemona, Othello’s new young and white wife, as the means of his revenge …. with tragic consequences.

Join us in Venice: Tim Gunderman and Vladimy Bellefleur head up this talented cast. You will have enjoyed Tim as the dry Dr. Givings in last season's In the Next Room,or The Vibrator Play. Vladimy played Tybalt in last season's Romeo and Juliet, and stars in the film Mea Culpa, which was released last year.

The show opens this Friday the 12th at Lab Theater, with shows on Oct. 13, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27, all at 8pm. There are two matinees: Oct. 21 and 28 at 2pm.

The theater is pleased to offer Senior Discount tickets this season for $18.50 on Thursdays. Regularly priced tickets are $20 and students with a valid ID are $12.00.
