Q: Why Infant Massage?

A: A few words from the scientific community...

Being touched and caressed, being massaged, is food for the infant; food as necessary as minerals, vitamins, and proteins.
- Frederick Leboyer, M.D.

Because touch, more than any other sense, has such ready access to young babies' brains, it offers perhaps the best possible opportunity, and one of the easiest, for molding their emotional and mental well-being.
- Lise Eliot, Ph.D & author of "What's Going on in There? How the Brain and Mind Develop in the First Five Years of Life"

A: A few words from Lucky Duck Graduates...

After class, we noticed a sense of calmness in our baby. Bedtime had always been a struggle for us but using the massage techniques Gabrielle taught, he now eases into sleep each night. We both felt a difference in our relationship with our son.

I loved seeing my baby’s enjoyment in class, babbling and smiling…. She loved the touch and the singing, too!

I was desperate to find ways to help her get some much needed sleep and relief from the gas pains that caused her frequent discomfort. Massage helped her - and her parents - through what was once a difficult time of day.

I learned that massage makes my baby happy and we connect even more.

Gabrielle Mason, CEIM/CIMI will stop by to meet & greet & explore the benefits of infant massage... and what makes Lucky Duck classes unique. Learn how infant massage offers compassionate care for new parents; enhances communication & bonding; eases digestion & sleep patterns; supports healthy growth & development; and adds lasting joy to family life.

As a grateful infant massage Mom & longtime Music Together™ teacher, Gabrielle brings song, story and a touch of silliness to the beautiful art – and science – of infant massage.
