From the Chair:

I have been on the board of directors for the Humane Society of the Sierra Foothills (HSSF) for three years now, it’s something that is very near and dear to my heart.

HSSF is still 100% volunteer and provides its valuable services and resources at no cost to taxpayers. We are not affiliated with any other Humane Society or SPCA.

As you know, since 2007 HSSF has worked to protect animals from abuse and neglect and enforce California's anti-cruelty laws with the highest level of professionalism.

We are so grateful to the many animal professionals that donate their precious time to this organization, but on-going medical care, food, shelter & medicine costs are constant.

To be honest, we have fallen behind in our fundraising efforts.

Well, now we’re shouting it from the rooftop – PLEASE HELP!!

This year we have been in an “all hands on deck” mode to keep up with rising costs.

Winter is coming and our preparation needs are huge. We must increase our reserve now in order to protect animals in inclement weather, keep weight on horses in our care, and continue
to respond to animal cruelty calls.

To match our funding with our needs, we need another $25,000 in 2013
