Mrs. Roosevelt couldn't have said it better! Maybe 2013 was a fabulous year for you, maybe it could have been better, but with the turn of the calendar it can be different! And for me, I vow to make it even better than last year!

I just want to say THANK YOU to all of my friends and families who have helped make P Squared Studios what it is today. It is through your stories that I have been able to create beautiful pictures and memories for you as well as to continue to grow and expand my brand because of your support.

In this newsletter, I want to share with you some changes that are coming, a super secret special I am running plus share some highlights from 2013.

With a New Year Comes the New

My daughter taught me a lot this past year (and the three previous years). One of those things is priorities - as our family grows so has P Squared Studios. My family still, and always will, come first. However, I try to juggle getting to meet up with old (old in a good way) families and new families as well.

This year I added eight new families, four new babies, five new custom-designed invitations and four new business logos. I had so much fun throughout each process!

Of course I also was able to meet up with previous friends and families, which is always the best!

My goal has always been to be the best full-time mom and wife I can be while trying to grow my photography and design business a little each year. So, with time comes change. My almost 5 year old will be starting kindergarten this coming fall (cue the tears) and will be needing less of my time throughout the day. Even though I'll be sad I won't be able to spend as much time with her that just means my photography business can thrive even more, and that's just too exciting!

I'm hoping to add a small wedding this fall, an engagement session and a few high school seniors sprinkled in. Of course you'll still see a few mini-sessions throughout the year pop up. Keep on the lookout!

Most people make goals for themselves and I'm no exception. I love goals! It lights a fire under my you-know-what to get going. Whether it's a birthday party, Christmas or to push myself onward and upward. My goal for this year is to photograph a birth. It's a tall order but I love pushing myself to get outside of the box. If you or someone you know is going to give birth in, oh, you know, the next 12 months give me a call! Let's chat!!

My family's motto is "Keep It Simple." Whenever I get in over my head and feel overwhelmed I stop and think, How can I keep this simple? That's how I approach my photography. Simple but still sweet. I'm not much for props. I enjoy keeping the focus on my subject, on YOU and the memories that are fleeting. Ultimately, that's why I pick up my camera, to capture those moments that will never happen again. To freeze but a laugh, a smile, a baby chub, a bond between momma and child. That is what's powerful about images. And, more importantly, PRINTED images. You can't hang a disk on your wall, but you can a picture. So, in 2014 I plan to continue to keep it simple!

,Who doesn't love a reason to get those moments printed and up on your walls, where they belong, instead of staying on a disk.
