Welcome to Edition 23 of Fair News
It is with great pleasure I announce that Moral Fairground in partnership with Australian Ethical Investment have launched of the inaugural Ethical Enterprise Award.
The Ethical Enterprise Award 2013 recognises and celebrates the achievements of Australia’s most inspirational enterprise – a business or organisation, regardless of size, which has had a positive social and economic impact through its innovative ethical practices.
The Ethical Enterprise Award is open to all organisations and businesses in Australia, large or small, non-profit, or for profit with purpose, that are committed to increasing wellbeing and can demonstrate the delivery of positive societal, environmental and economic benefits as a direct result of their actions.
This Award, the first of its kind in Australia, celebrates the importance of informed ethical leadership, conscious business and innovation. It demonstrates how organisations that seek a fair, just and sustainable offering can also provide great financial returns too.
Entries close on the 30th of September 2013.

Call for Fair Stories
Fair trade is all about a fair-go for communities less fortunate than ours. It’s about connecting with people, raising awareness of the ethical choices we make and achieving local sustainability outcomes. Moral Fairground wants to spread the word about the global fair trade movement by sharing the story of your fair trade journey. We want to know who are you, what you do and why you do it. We are curious to find out where you get the passion, drive and commitment for the work you do. It’s a story worth telling and we have the perfect place to tell it.
This summer, Moral Fairground adds Fair Stories to the Fair@Square Festival program. In the coming months, we will shoot 2-3 minute video interviews with several selected Fair Traders and show their story on the Big Screen at Federation Square during the Festival. We want the general public to see work you do and the communities you work with.
Are you interested? We’d love to hear from you! Please send us a brief summary of why you think your story should be told and how your work could inspire others to follow your path into fair trade and ethical business. Contact our producer Linda Wall
