Delysia Chocolatier named a Top 10 Confectioner in U.S.

February 18, 2014 Austin, TX – Delysia Chocolatier got a sweet surprise this Valentine’s Day, when the International Chocolate Salon named the Austin-based artisan chocolate company to their list of Best Chocolatiers and Confectioners in America. Recipients of the six-star rating are based on the combined number of Gold and Silver medals awarded by TasteTV Chocolate Salons. This is Delysia Chocolatier’s second consecutive year of being named to the International Chocolate Salon’s prestigious list.
“There are no words to describe how amazing it feels to be among the best in the country,” said Delysia’s proprietor and chocolatier, Nicole Patel. “Being once again recognized by the International Chocolate Salon is such a huge honor. It’s humbling. I know competition was fierce this year and I’m ecstatic to have come out on top.”
Delysia was one of only ten chocolatiers to receive the six-star rating. This Best Chocolatiers & Confectioners award recognizes the artisan company’s achievements in the Bridal category (Gold medals for solid chocolate cowboy boots, chocolate menus, and two-piece custom salted caramel and orange truffles); Bars competition (Silver medals for Salt Lick Dry Rub bark and pecan-cayenne bark); and Top Truffle Artistry (Gold medal for the jalapeno-tequila truffle). Delysia is the only Texas-based chocolate company to receive the six-star rating.
Last year, Delysia received a four-star rating, which placed the company in the top 50. The International Chocolate Salon entrants, presented by TasteTV and Chocolate Television, were judged during Salons in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle and standalone Chocolate Salon Award Competitions.
