Kathy’s golf game? “I have been playing at it for a while but only in the last three years I have become more interested in the game through GROW. I am definitely a beginner right now but give me another year or two and watch out. Then I may give my husband and others a run for their money.” Kathy’s husband encourages her every step of the way. He even recently bought her new golf clubs.
Q. Do you play for business, leisure, etc?
A. I play for both the business networking and the leisure part as well and look forward to taking golf trips to getting away and relaxing with friends and my husband.
Q. Why are you interested in GROW?
A. Because of the positive things that GROW is doing in the community and the best part is networking with other ladies in our community.

A Message from President, Tracy Pointer

As we feature Kathy Buggs in this issue, it s a timely moment to announce the first GROW Golf Scramble, which will be held Friday, August 27, 2010 at Hermitage Golf Course. We have been up and growing for approximately 3 years and our core mission is centered around the game of golf and it's time for a tournament. Kathy will be leading the charge and coordinating the scramble as the Event Chair. Thank you Kathy for your leadership in this effort!

I will need support from all of the Women of GROW for this event in one capacity or another. Each team at the tournament will be required to have one female player (indicative of our mission to grow the game), so challenge yourself to be ready! Or of course, GROW women will be needed to assist with planning or volunteering at the event. Simply put, you can play, plan or volunteer!
