Announcing the premiere of Anita Majumdar's Same Same But Different

Nightswimming commissioned Same Same But Different in 2010 and we've held several developmental workshops as the piece has evolved. We are thrilled to be entering into a partnership with Alberta Theatre Projects and Theatre Passe Muraille to bring it to the stage in 2014.

We want to welcome the National Arts Centre English Theatre as a collaborating partner for S2BD. We are looking forward to working with them!

At the Banff Centre in February, we spent a fun and fruitful residency with Nightswimming playwright Anita Majumdar as she created and developed choreography for her solo play, Boys With Cars. Check out Anita's blog post for the Banff Centre!

After spending three weeks on the mainstage at GCTC, we took Carmen Aguirre's Blue Box on a whirlwind trip, playing the Banff Centre and Regina's Globe Theatre in the same week. Carmen's Banff Centre blog post can be found here.

We spent a week at Alberta Theatre Projects in March, in workshop for Same Same But Different with Anita and performer Anthony Malarky. The week culminated in a public showing for a packed and enthusiastic room, including Mayor Nenshi himself! He had such a good time, he tweeted about it immediately...
