As a summer baby (I just celebrated a 30something with my family and friends on Spanish Banks last week!) I'm never in a rush to embrace the whole Back to School thing until school actually begins. Until then, you'll find me soaking up the last bits of what summer has to offer, because I LOVE it. Long days, warm evenings, time to read books, MAKE CRAFTS and enjoy our families before schedules and calendars begin to fill up again.
There's a lot of love around here of late, as I've been ordering new books, art supplies and more to inspire us next season, Fall IS coming after all. I'm thrilled to bring back some more Reggio Children books to share one of my most beloved approaches to Early Childhood learning with you. The introduction to the new edition of "The Hundred Languages" describes the Reggio approach as "...engrossing projects which are carried out in a beautiful, love filled setting.." - and I couldn't describe what happens in here better.
We love having you here, and certainly love what you've made together at the shop (and my banner girl up there L knows I love watching her paint so carefully!). Next month we'll start up our Fall 2013 Session, we'll turn 4, and we'll celebrate a bunch of new artists, shows and works in the store. I can not wait. Well, maybe just a few more art filled afternoons and summer nights...

You know how much we love The Wild Unknown around here. The Tarot cards can't stay in stock long enough, and ABC Dream is a store favourite. Kim Krans joins us September 8th for in store Tarot Readings (which means cards, prints, and books will be back in stock!) See you then.

All classes are artist lead, and have a maximum of 8 kids per class. MAKE and MIXED MAKE classes are mixed media, including painting, drawing, assemblage, sculpture and more. Projects change each session!
