Sanded Spider Web

Taylor shared a fun, quick tutorial earlier this week!

Do you want to make a stunning impact on your projects, and add interesting texture…..with not a lot of effort? Of course you do!!

Have you ever tried embossing and sanding your card stock? It’s easy! This quick tutorial will show you how to achieve this look.

Any card stock that has a white core (or a core that is any other color) will work, as that is what provides the contrast. You can use any sanding block – she's done this with plain old fine grit sandpaper from the home improvement store, and even once with a nail file.

Stop by to see the rest of this great step-by-step tutorial!

Are you ready for some Halloween fabulousness? Steph (Arty Carty) is hosting this week's 3D Challenge, and she knocked my socks off with this project!

Here's what she shares about her banner: "it’s no secret that I LOVE shopping. I just happened to be at Michaels about a month ago and they had shelves and shelves of new Halloween goodies out. I basically bought everything that caught my fancy so I had to come up with a project that I could use them all – hence a banner was born."

She's challenging us all to make some Halloween decor - to play along, add your project to the Planet gallery with the keyword 3D185.

In case you hadn't heard, I shared some sad news for our Planet family last week. One of our most active members, Cathie Thompson, passed away suddenly this week. Cathie hosted a number of groups on the Planet and was active in several others. Her loss will be felt by all of us.

Cathie leaves behind a husband and two sons.

We'd love it if you'd create a card in Cathie's honor on World Cardmaking Day and send it to her family and let them know how dear she was to all of us.
