Last Night - 5 Million Listeners
Last night I was a special guest on LA TALK RADIO - Veteran radio personality Cameron Datzker's "Sports and Life" show to be specific. Our client Judy Karman is co-host of the weekly show and did her usual wonderful job last night. Five million people listened to the show. The broadcast was live on www.LaTalkRadio.com/Cameron.php as well as Skype radio, Yahoo Radio, Google Radio and LiveStream.com. For those who missed it, the podcast on-demand is always available.
It was a fun show to do and I have been asked back to do another full one-hour show - this time as the only guest
The best part of doing the show was making a wonderful connection. You see, Cameron Datzker is not only a very well-known radio personality -- he is also an executive producer on several big-budget star-driven feature films. And, needless to say, he is extremely well-connected in the film and television industry! The stars with whom he is negotiating now are some very impressive people. If I am given permission to discuss any of this news, I will share it with you in an upcoming newsletter. There is a lot of good news upcoming for our clients! |
Ric Drasin Hosting Additional TV Shows!
I met with my friend Ric Drasin again this morning. He has been hired to host two additional television shows. I think that's a total of five! It seems that he wants me to be a special guest on two of his new shows. And I have been asked back to do the Actors Entertainment Network show (7+ million views) for a second time. Two of our clients have already guest-starred on that show, and I'm sure future shows will guest-star additional clients. :-)
As usual, those who express more interest are the people who usually are chosen first. |
On Monday A TV Special Was Taped Featuring "RR"
On Monday, a Film and TV producer and a 3-man crew from the PBS affiliate KVCR-TV came to the professional wrestling school of ex-WWE star Jesse Hernandez to shoot a TV special. I was interviewed for about 30 minutes. The producer, who also heads an organization of young filmmakers and who works with the local film department at a local college, asked me if I would like to be the featured guest speaker at next month's gathering. He also wants to bring me up to date on his upcoming projects and see how we may be able to help with talent, among other things.
I also had a late luncheon meeting the week before with my long-time friend Jesse Hernandez. Jesse does quite a bit of video/TV also and is also quite well connected! |
Also Speaking Next Month at Long Beach Film Association
Those who missed the final Robb Networking Event of the year 2013 (which took place two weeks ago) missed an exceptionally good event. Much business was done that Monday night. It appears that at least two of our clients are being hired for a feature film and one of our clients may have landed two acting roles as a result! I came away with some great new contacts - and a few new friends. |
Long Beach Film Group - continued
It was there, at the Robb Networking Event, that I finally met producer Derek Easley. Derek has hired at least two of our clients so far and is about to hire a third. He also heads a film group that meets in Long Beach once a month. He has asked me to speak at the November meeting of that group.
That was a great three hours of networking at the Robb event. In addition to his own production company, Derek also co-produces with Tim Chizmar (who spoke at our seminar event a few weeks back and who is hiring more than one of our clients!) |

Look Who's Been Added for November 9
In WWE she's known as KHARMA. In TNA she's known as AWESOME KONG. Some know her as AMAZING KONG. We know her as Kia Stevens - producer, actress, wrestling superstar and friend. (And, yes, Kia also spoke at one of our seminars a year or so ago!).
Kia will be signing autographs and posing for photos at the big wrestling event coming up in 27 days. I'm counting down the days because I'll be lacing up the old (well, actually new) wrestling boots and stepping into the squared circle yet once again on that date. As a reminder . . .
