It was wonderful to get some early snow higher up this month - check out the photos on facebook. Winter is a great time to get outdoors - we will put on some special events so you can learn snowshoeing, cross-country or tour skiing. We'll also keep on powerwalking and hiking, adapting according to the weather forecast.

Fri 2 November Day Hike - Samoens (FR)

After a great ascent on an ancient alpage trail, we had fun in the snow and stunning vistas at the top! We'll be back to the Haute Giffre Valley, lots more trails to explore.

Tues 6 November Powerwalk - Vich (CH)

Elinor showed us a great new route along the Sentier des Toblerones and back through the forest in full Autumn colour. And yes, the sun was shining again!

Thurs 15 November - Powerwalk above Divonne-les-Bains (FR)

Get ready for a workout! The first part is a steady climb up and then rolling trail in a little known part of the Jura. Your reward is a fantastic viewpoint called 'Fenetre de Leman' looking over Lac Leman and the Alps.

NEW DATE Sun 18 November Weekend HIke Grand Paradis, Valais (CH)

Join us on an exciting 3 hour hike with a secured passage along a cliff, fondue lunch, and a swim in the nearby hot springs!

Tues 20 November - Day Hike Noirmont, Jura (CH)

Starting in La Cure we will hike gently up through pastureland and and then more steeply through forest to reach Noirmont (1567m). Great views of both the Alps and the French Jura from the top!

Thurs 29 November - Powerwalk Col de la Faucille, Jura (FR)

Join us for a fun powerwalk at the top of the French Jura - a trail through the forest to a spectacular view point.

Mon 3 December Day Hike - Grand Mont Rond, Jura (FR)

From the Col de la Faucille we'll show a loop up to the top of the Grand Mont Rond (1596m). This makes for a great family hike or snowshoe too - views both ways from the top with any luck!

Thurs 13 December Powerwalk Aubonne Arboretum (CH)

The last Powerwalk of 2012! Elinor will show us her favourite loop through the diverse tree species in the forests of the Aubonne Arboretum. Warm up with a hot drink or lunch afterwards at a local auberge.

New Dates Mountain First Aid

New dates will be offered for the full course, as well as an adapted FAMILY version (kids from 12 years, eligible for CAS points). Please email by 15 November if you are interested (min. 8 participants).
