In recent years, the Caribbean has become one of the world’s tourist engines and is one of the main markets for large Spanish hotel companies, with which Amusement Logic collaborates.
Given the concentration of hotels and resorts, it is an extremely competitive environment. Within this framework, hotel establishments are making great creative and economic efforts to develop new products with which to increase customer loyalty and attract new visitors. So, aquatic leisure is a safe bet for this purpose in a sunny beach destination.
If we add this market situation to the geographical expansion strategy planned by our company, we arrive at the logical conclusion that during 2012, we completed out our first Caribbean projects in Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and Mexico…and now in 2013, we continue to work in this area.
We have just signed a contract to produce a spectacular waterpark for a resort in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, which will appear at the end of the current year.
Our focus in winning this contract was based on convincing the client of the importance of a balanced, family-centred design and correct sizing of the available spaces. A park is not just a group of attractions, but much more. It is a business that must be profitable. Many variables have to be studied, such as the orientation of the terrain, topography, traffic, zoning, capacity, investment and operating costs. The project’s success can only be guaranteed if this initial study is undertaken. In Amusement Logic, we have a strong design and study department that ensures that all these variables are taken into account when designing an amusement park, be it a waterpark or theme park.
