Hi there! It's good to be back after a break last week. (Actually, I was in Africa, but more on that later.) Welcome to those of you who have joined the list since. Let's get right to it!
1. How to make money with Amazon's FBA (Fulfillment-By-Amazon) program
Did you listen to Pat Flynn's podcast this week? It's an eye-opener. His guests were Jessica and Cliff Larrew. In a nutshell, they shop for deals at their local stores (Target, Walgreens, etc.), and armed with an intriguing iPhone app called Profit Bandit* they determine which products they can resell at a profit on Amazon. They grossed $300,000 (netted about $100,000) in 2013 working part time. A few years back I sold stuff on Amazon (mainly textbooks) and made some decent cash. It's legit. If you're good at finding deals, check it out. Definitely worth a listen.
2. Add video time markers to YouTube for quick reference & usability
A lot of readers don't have time to watch videos you post on your blog, particularly if they're more than 5 minutes or so. To make it more attractive and easier for them, include time markers so they can skip to what they want. Example here (see the video notes section).
3. How to split test a post title on Twitter
Want to find out which post title will get more response? This tip from the Buffer blog is excellent: choose two titles for a post, tweet them both at about the same time (with a link to the post), use the one that gets more response. Read the full article here.
4. How to automatically promote your posts
If you want an easy way to automagically send your new posts to social media sites in one fell swoop, try the customizable yet free NextScripts SNAP plugin.
