Smog Eating Tile with BoralPure Technology

BoralPure Smog-Eating Roof Tiles: This revolutionary technology works via a catalyst embedded in the upper portion of the roof tile. When exposed to sunlight it speeds up oxidation reducing nitrogen oxide. Working like a catalytic converter in a car, it transforms harmful substances into safe ones. It can be installed on both new residential and commercial buildings as well as re-roofing projects. For more information or a brochure, click here.

Below, learn about the difference between a "Bay" window and a "Bow" window.

Ashton.BayWindowExt

Do you know the difference between a bay window and a bow window? Above is a bay window. It has two angled walls and one flat wall with a total of three windows. It protrudes farther from the wall adding space to the interior. It also allows side views of the outside if you have a view to capture.

A bow window has a curved vs angled design. It typically has more than three windows. A bow window is usually purchased as one window unit. A bay window can be purchased as one unit or can be site built using three separate windows.

The difference between a resolution and a goal: It is that time of year when we all set resolutions. Is "to finally build my dream log home" one of your resolutions? My suggestion is that if it is, to turn that resolution into a goal instead. Why? A resolution is an intention waiting for a plan. It is a "hope." A goal is when you decide what you want to accomplish and devise an plan to achieve the desired result. A great article to read is here on how to achieve your goal. Take action and get started. Even if this first step is just setting the goal and devising the plan.

Oak Log Homes being built in India: In December we hosted representatives from JMD Consultants from New Delhi, India. JMD is the exclusive representative for Gastineau Log Homes in India. They will be building their first model home in Spring 2014 near Nanital in the Himalayan Mountains. They had an opportunity to experience some very, very cold MO weather. Much different from the mild New Delhi December temperatures!
