Kids' Poetry Workshops on Saturday mornings. Great opportunity for Mom and Dad to hit the grocery store or have a cup of coffee alone.

Poetry can instill a love of language in kids, and it's a wonderful genre for mixed media. So let your kids unleash their most creative minds with a fun mix of collage, drawing, writing, and collaboration.

Workshops will be interactive and include a visual element. Check my website for dates, workshops will be two hours long and cost $20 per kid.

Kids in 1st through 7th grades are welcome. Please check with me ahead of time for younger or older students.

Workshops for grownups (age 16 +) will be Wednesday nights from 6 to 7:30, these will cover a range of topics and will be in a non-chronological format so that students may attend as their schedule permits. Specifics available at the workshop area on my website. Cost will be $10/date, or you can buy a punch card and save some cash.

BLOGGING BOOT CAMP!
Back by popular demand, I'm offering four opportunities to take this class this summer. 9 a.m. to noon, June 28, and August 2, 9 and 23. This is a class you take one time, so select one of the Saturdays, strap on your early boots, and come on down to the Pajama Factory. You have to bring your own laptop. Cost is $35.

Beer Soap and Running (Cross Pollenation)

SAM 0270

Did you think I forgot a comma? You're dead wrong. That's soap made with beer.

Apparently beer soap is terrific for hair. And I'm super excited about it. This one is a hot process bar made with manly cedar and rosemary essential oils, oatmeal, and sandalwood powder. It's called Woodland Sprite, and comes wrapped in our standard Adipocere Soap anachronistic, vaguely creepy packaging.

I'm cross pollinating now. The writing biz has more fans, but ya'll would like the soap I make with my life partner, too. That photo over there is an actual image from our shop. We've got some fans and an etsy store. Writers need multiple pursuits.

Also, check out one of my most recent blog posts about the benefits of running on the writey parts of your brain. I've been learning to run--yes, I mean learning. I'm chubby and didn't decide to become athletic until my 30s, so I'm super proud of my way slow (but invigorating) jogs.

What do you think of the new logo? Fun, huh?

And don't forget to find April Line Writing on Facebook (facebook.com/AprilLineWriting) and twitter (@AprilLineWriter). Just another, not-too-obstructive way of keeping up with what's what.

Plus, after almost a year with nearly no blog posts (long, long story), I'm back to blogging once a week. You can subscribe at www.AprilLineWriting.com.
