Friday, April 26 Staff In-Service: All TADL locations closed (except Peninsula Community Library).
Monday, May 27 Memorial Day: All TADL locations closed.
Thursday, July 4 Independence Day: All TADL locations closed.
Saturday, July 6 Cherry Festival: Woodmere closed until 2 p.m. Open 2-6 p.m.
Tuesday, August 6 Election Day: East Bay Branch closed (if needed for election precinct).
Monday, September 2 Labor Day: All TADL locations closed.

Nice to Meet You

Kristen Talaga, marketing and communications manager for TADL is also the editor of the TADL monthly e-newsletter. Kristen and her husband are expecting their first child in the coming weeks. As she takes some time off, the TADL monthly e-newsletter will take a slight variation over the next 12 weeks. Please visit www.tadl.org regularly for events and news updates district wide. Kristen has been part of the TADL team since May 2011. She is responsible for helping to improve awareness of TADL services and resources through online (email marketing, web messaging, social networks, etc.) and traditional marketing platforms. In addition to regular contact with the local and regional media outlets, she also coordinates the library's volunteer program, and develops relationships with local organizations by seeking opportunities for collaboration to cross promote and share resources to offer overall improved value for library patrons.

About Us

The Traverse Area District Library (TADL) is a network of community libraries serving Grand Traverse County through the following locations: the Woodmere (Main) Branch in Traverse City including the Talking Book Library East Bay and Kingsley Branch Libraries; Member Libraries: Fife Lake Public Library, Interlochen Public Library, and Peninsula Community Library; and the Grand Traverse County Law Library.

TADL provides a wide variety of services, including the loan and inter-library loan of a broad collection of book titles (print, audiobooks, e-books, and e-audiobooks), periodicals, DVDs, CDs, subscription databases, publicly accessible computers, free WiFi, a variety of meeting spaces, blind and physically handicapped services, and free programming for all ages.
