Some links are affiliate links meaning, at no additional cost to you, I may get a small commission if you make a purchase. Thanks for your support in this way!

1. What is your last link?

It pains me to see posts that end with a missed opportunity (example of what I mean). Make sure your last link is to the place you really want them to go (your subscribe page, your affiliate link, your product sales page, whatever). I think this idea from Henneke (see Blogging Mistake #7) is an excellent way to hone in on what you want to happen: Try writing your conclusion first. Or write it the day after you’ve written your post.

2. How does your sales page stack up?

Amy Harrison has a handy checklist you can use to see if your sales page (for your ebook, product, etc.) is written well and covers all the bases.

3. The new backup plugin I'm using

This week in my mastermind group, we were discussing which backup plugins we are using. I've recently switched to UpdraftPlus because it backs up my database and my files (both are important) and I can automatically send the backup to the cloud (Dropbox in my case). So far, so good.

4. The no-brainer Pinterest tip

My dad says this a lot: "It's simple...if you know how to do it!" So it is with this tip. Many of us already know it, but I'd bet many of us don't, so I want to make sure I say it. If Pinterest is one of your main hangouts, being part of contributor boards is a no-brainer. It multiplies your reach with little effort on your part. So, if you're asked to be part of a contributor board, do (and then contribute). Or, collaborate with others and start your own contributor board. Here's an oldie but goodie post on the subject.

5. In other news...

It may not be cashmere or gadget-y, but I love this Black Friday deal because (a) I love free money and (b) this is exactly what I use for my blogging income. I enjoyed watching the birth of an island and learning why we have fingerprints. And Ann Voskamp's take on boring men was just plain good.

Have a great weekend!

Amy
